Working with us

The commercial detail, up front.

The questions procurement teams ask before a first call. If something you need is missing, ask and we will send it.

Engagement models

How we can
work together.

Most clients start with one of these. All can run alongside each other on the same account, under one master agreement.

Contract staffing

Our W-2 employees work under your direction for a defined term. We handle payroll, benefits, employment taxes and compliance. You extend, convert or release at the end of the term.

Contract to hire

The same, with an agreed conversion point where the consultant moves onto your payroll. Conversion terms are set in the master agreement so there is no negotiation later.

Direct placement

We source, screen and present candidates who join you as your own employees from day one. Fees and the guarantee period are agreed before the search starts.

Managed delivery

For defined scopes we take delivery responsibility rather than supplying individuals, with a named lead and an agreed statement of work.

Employment model

W-2, not 1099.

We place consultants as W-2 employees of Clicksoft Solutions, not as independent contractors. Where a client requires a different structure we will discuss it, but this is our default and what we recommend.

  • Co-employment risk stays with us. Employment taxes, workers' compensation and benefits administration are our obligation, not yours.
  • Classification is not in question. There is no 1099 ambiguity for your legal or audit teams to work through.
  • Continuity between assignments. Consultants stay employed by us between placements, so good people remain available to you.
Compliance

Screening and
eligibility.

What every consultant goes through before they reach your team.

Work authorization
Employment eligibility confirmed through E-Verify Form I-9 completed and verified for every hire before the start date. Documentation is retained per federal requirements and available for audit.
Background checks
Criminal, employment and education verification Standard checks run before placement. Client-specific screening, such as deeper checks, drug screening or sector-specific vetting, is arranged on request at the scope you specify.
Reference checks
Direct manager references from recent engagements We speak to people who managed the consultant's work, not just confirm dates of employment.
Technical screening
Role-specific assessment before shortlisting Candidates are screened against the actual stack and seniority of the role. For regulated sectors we screen for prior domain exposure as well.
Confidentiality
NDAs signed by the consultant and by us We sign your paper. Client names are not used as references without written permission, which is why our published work is anonymised.

Getting started

What the first
two weeks look like.

Day 1

Requirement call

Thirty minutes on the role or scope, the team it joins, and what good looks like in the first month.

Days 2–5

Shortlist

Screened profiles with our notes on fit, not a stack of forwarded resumes. Usually three to five people.

Days 5–10

Your interviews

We coordinate scheduling and collect feedback quickly, so good candidates do not go cold mid-process.

Days 10–14

Onboarding

Offer, screening completion, paperwork and start date. Contracting runs in parallel rather than after selection.

Tell us the role. We will send names, not a brochure.

One call, one requirement sheet. We come back with screened people and a realistic timeline, or an honest answer that we are not the right fit.
